**In response to public input regarding pet registration, the city implemented changes to the guidelines November 1, 2008:
Three-year registration cycle available if pet has three-year rabies vaccination.
NOTE: The Cat Hospital of Las Colinas uses a one-year PureVax Rabies vaccine. Dr. Hague has found this to be the safest vaccine on the market. There is an agent that exists in the three-year vaccine that could potentially cause problems in cats. Therefore, an annual rabies vaccine is recommended for all felines.
The fees are the same for both one and three-year registration.
Residents 65 years of age and older and/or disabled residents must register their pets, but are exempt from registration fees.
Residents may pay online at » www.petdata.com or in person at Irving Animal Services.
